Stars aim to continue road domination of Oilers

EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) - If recent history is any indication, Rexall Place is a home away from home for the Dallas Stars.

The Stars go for their seventh straight win in Edmonton on Friday when they take on the Oilers.

Dallas' domination in this series hasn't been limited just to Rexall Place, however, as it has won four straight and seven of the last eight meetings overall with Edmonton. The Stars have not lost at Rexall Place since January 2004.

The Stars began their three-game road swing through Canada with a 4-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday. Mike Ribeiro had two assists and defenseman Stephane Robidas tallied a goal and an assist.

More good news may come to Dallas if Jere Lehtinen makes his return Friday after undergoing sports hernia surgery on November 23. The 34-year-old right wing has missed 33 games after starting the season with 19 points in 21 games.

The Oilers, near the bottom of the Western Conference standings, will look to rebound from an inept performance in a 3-0 setback to the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday. Edmonton, which lost for the fifth time in seven games, managed just 13 shots.
