Bruins D Krug fractures jaw, will miss rest of training camp

Sep 21, 2017 - 2:48 PM Boston Bruins defenseman Torey Krug will miss the remainder of training camp with a broken jaw.

Krug sustained the non-displaced fracture after he was hit in the face with a puck during Tuesday's preseason victory against the Detroit Red Wings. The Bruins said Krug will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

The 26-year-old Krug had eight goals, a career-high 51 points and logged 21:36 of ice time in 81 games last season. He missed the playoffs last season due to a lower-body injury.

Krug has recorded 38 goals, 138 assists and 118 penalty minutes in 322 career games with the Bruins.
