Blues tab Robinson as senior consultant
Sep 21, 2017 - 5:24 PM The St. Louis Blues named Hall of Famer and nine-time Stanley Cup champion Larry Robinson as their senior consultant to hockey operations, the team announced Thursday.Robinson is a former NHL defenseman, coach and executive. The 66-year-old most recently served as an associate coach with the San Jose Sharks from 2012-15.
Robinson collected 208 goals and 750 assists in 1,384 career games with the Montreal Canadiens and Los Angeles Kings. He won six Stanley Cups with the Canadiens as a player before capturing three more from a coaching standpoint in 1995, 2000 and 2003 as part of the New Jersey Devils organization.
Robinson was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1995 and named one of the 100 Greatest Players in NHL history on Jan. 27.
