Injury-ridden Senators face Canadiens

MONTREAL (Ticker) -- The Ottawa Senators better be on alert because the Montreal Canadiens are coming.

All-Stars Dany Heatley and captain Daniel Alfredsson will once again be out of the lineup as the Senators visit the Canadiens on Tuesday night in a Northeast Division battle.

Ottawa has enjoyed a comfortable lead atop the division all season but has lost seven of its last 10 contests and watched Montreal close the gap to just three points.

While both Alfredsson and Heatley have started to skate, neither is ready to make a return yet. Alfredsson is still suffering from a hip injury and Heatley is sidelined with a separated shoulder.

The Senators are hoping to avoid a three-game losing streak after being defeated by the Toronto Maple Leafs, 4-2, on Saturday.

The Canadiens look to bounce back from a 5-3 setback to the New York Rangers on Sunday. Montreal squandered a three-goal lead in that one.

On Monday, the Canadiens recalled goaltender Carey Price and the 20-year-old rookie may get the start against the Senators. Price posted a 9-7-3 record with a 2.90 goals-against average in his early stint with Montreal.

Montreal has lost six straight contests against Ottawa - including three setbacks this season.
