Murray looking to help Bruins continue playoff push

BOSTON (Ticker) - The Boston Bruins are where the Florida Panthers want to be. In the playoff picture.

Glen Murray will try to help the Bruins solidify their postseason position Saturday when the Panthers visit.

After missing the last 19 games with a hip flexor injury, Murray did not have a point in Friday's 3-2 shootout victory over Buffalo, but his presence in the lineup seemed to give the Bruins a boost. Boston erased a two-goal deficit in the win and ended a two-game skid.

The win also propelled the Bruins into the seventh in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

The Panthers, who are three points back of Carolina in the Southeast Division and five points out of eighth place in the conference, had a three-game winning streak snapped Thursday with a 5-4 loss to the Ottawa Senators.

Captain Olli Jokinen scored a goal and set up another in the loss, extending his point streak to four games. He has 27 goals and 55 points this season.
