Struggling Blues hope for better results against Wild

ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- The St. Louis Blues look to snap a three-game losing streak when they host a team they haven't had much success against - the Minnesota Wild - on Sunday.

The Blues, who have been outscored, 17-10, during their slide, have gone just 3-8-2 in their last 13 meetings with the Wild.

St. Louis allowed three power-play goals in Saturday's 6-2 defeat to Dallas.

Backup goaltender Hannu Toivonen allowed four goals on 15 shots before being replaced by Manny Legace midway through the second period.

Minnesota snapped a two-game skid with a 4-3 overtime victory over the New York Islanders on Saturday.

Defenseman Brent Burns scored the game-winner at the 2:34 mark of the extra period, while goaltender while Niklas Backstrom made 26 saves.

"If you want to make the playoffs, we have to win the games at home and play really well on the road," Backstrom said. "So every win is big. It's a big difference to get one or two points. We got two points today, and that's huge for us."

Brian Rolston scored twice for the Wild and has eight goals in his last eight games.
