Stillman, Senators look to bounce back vs. Devils

NEWARK, New Jersey (Ticker) - The addition of Cory Stillman provided another scoring threat to the Ottawa Senators' top-ranked offense, but it didn't work out so well in his debut with his new team.

The Senators will hope to bounce back on Wednesday night when they visit the New Jersey Devils.

The 34-year-old Stillman recorded an assist in his first game with Ottawa on Tuesday, but the team suffered a 5-1 setback to the Buffalo Sabres.

Stillman, who came to the Senators with defenseman Mike Commodore from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Patrick Eaves and blue-liner Joe Corvo, has 21 goals and 47 points this season.

The Devils are coming off a 6-1 triumph over the Hurricanes on Saturday. Defenseman Paul Martin had his first career two-goal performance and fellow blue-liners Colin White and Johnny Oduya also scored a goal in the rout.

Martin leads all New Jersey blue-liners with five goals and 23 points on the season.

The Devils are three points behind the division-leading Pittsburgh Penguins in the Atlantic.
