NHL notebook: Jackets activate Sedlak

Nov 22, 2017 - 1:42 AM The Columbus Blue Jackets activated center Lukas Sedlak off injured reserve, the team announced Tuesday.

Sedlak has been sidelined 13 games due to an ankle injury he sustained in a practice on Oct. 23. He is expected to return to the lineup for Wednesday's home game against the Calgary Flames.

The 24-year-old Czech has recorded two goals and four penalty minutes in eight games this season. Sedlak has collected nine goals, six assists, 29 penalty minutes and a plus-8 rating in 70 career contests with the Blue Jackets.



--The Minnesota Wild recalled Zack Mitchell from Iowa and reassigned fellow forwards Joel Eriksson Ek and Luke Kunin to the American Hockey League affiliate.

Mitchell leads Iowa with 16 points (five goals, 11 assists) in 11 games this season. The 24-year-old Ontario native scored and set up a goal in five games with Minnesota in 2017-18.

Eriksson Ek collected one goal and two assists in 20 games with Minnesota this season. The 20-year-old Swede has 10 points (four goals, six assists) in 35 career contests with the club.

Kunin has scored two goals and set up two others during 17 games with Minnesota in 2017-18.



--The Boston Bruins recalled defenseman Matt Grzelcyk from Providence of the American Hockey League.

Grzelcyk joined the team for Tuesday's practice and will travel with the club to New Jersey to face the Devils for Wednesday's contest.

The 23-year-old Massachusetts native recorded a plus-1 rating during his one game this season with Boston.
