Streaking Ducks go for fourth straight win

ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- This is not good news for the rest of the NHL, but the Anaheim Ducks are starting to resemble the team that won the Stanley Cup last season.

The Ducks seek their fourth straight victory on Sunday when they host the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday.

Overall, Anaheim has won eight of its last nine games to move within four points of first-place Dallas in the Pacific Division.

The Ducks are coming of a 2-1 overtime victory over St. Louis on Friday in the third game of a seven-game homestand. Samuel Pahlsson scored the game-winner 32 seconds into the extra period.

The Blackhawks blew a four-goal lead in the third period Saturday but managed a 6-5 overtime over Los Angeles.

Rookie Patrick Sharp had two goals and an assist, including the game-winning tally 1:48 into overtime for Chicago, which allowed the Kings to score twice in the final 1:07 of regulation to tie the contest.

The improved Blackhawks have gone 6-2-2 in their last 10 contests but are still eight points out of a playoff spot.

Anaheim has won the last four meetings between the teams, including the first two this season.
