Coyotes look to continue domination of Blues
Feb 28, 2008 - 1:59 PM Phoenix (32-27-5) at St Louis (28-25-10) 8:30 pm ESTST. LOUIS (Ticker) - The debut of Marcel Hossa was not a success for the Phoenix Coyotes on Wednesday. That could change on Thursday, considering the opponent.
The Coyotes look to continue their domination of the slumping St. Louis Blues when the teams meet at the Scottrade Center.
Phoenix has outscored St. Louis, 7-3, winning the first three games between the clubs this season, and the Coyotes have won eight of the past nine overall. The Coyotes won the most recent contest, 2-0, on Sunday.
Hossa, who came over from the New York Rangers as part of a five-player deal on Tuesday, did not register a shot on goal in Wednesday's 1-0 defeat to Chicago.
The Blues have been struggling lately, going 0-3-1 in their last four games. Keith Tkachuk scored the lone tally in Tuesday's 3-1 setback to Dallas in their most recent loss.
Leading scorer Paul Kariya has not registered a point in each of his last four games for St. Louis, which has only scored three goals during the losing streak.
