Blues D Pietrangelo returns vs. Jets
Dec 17, 2017 - 6:59 PM The St. Louis Blues activated defenseman and captain Alex Pietrangelo from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game against the Winnipeg Jets.Pietrangelo, 27, has missed the past four games due to a lower-body injury.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Pietrangelo has 23 points (seven goals, 16 assists) in 30 games this season. He ranks third among all defensemen in goals and his total points are tied for ninth most in that group while he averages the sixth-most minutes per game (25:45) in the NHL overall.
The King City, Ontario, native is currently in his 10th season with the Blues after being drafted by the club with the fourth overall pick in 2008. Pietrangelo owns 326 points (72 goals, 254 assists) in 569 career regular-season games.
