Blackhawks assign D Pokka to Rockford
Dec 18, 2017 - 5:00 PM The Chicago Blackhawks assigned defenseman Ville Pokka to Rockford of the American Hockey League, the team announced Monday.Pokka was recalled by the Blackhawks on Wednesday, but did not appear in a game with the team.
The 23-year-old native of Finland collected three goals and nine assists in 26 games this season with the IceHogs. He had 30 points (six goals, 24 assists) last season with Rockford and has 117 (27 goals, 90 assists) in 246 career AHL contests.
Pokka won a silver medal with Finland at the 2016 IIHF World Championship and represented his country at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.
