Struggling Stars welcome Canucks

DALLAS (Ticker) - A home meeting with the Vancouver Canucks is exactly what the Dallas Stars need to get back on track.

The Stars look to return to their winning ways on Saturday when they host the Canucks.

Following a four-game win streak, Dallas has posted a dismal 1-4-0 record over its last five games, including a 5-3 loss to the first place Detroit Red Wings on Thursday.

Despite their recent woes, the Stars have won seven straight games at American Airlines Arena against the Canucks. Marty Turco stopped Taylor Pyatt's shot in the sixth round of the shootout to lift the Stars to a 3-2 victory the last time the teams met in Dallas on February 5.

Turco, who has been in net for each of Dallas' last five games, owns a 15-3-1 career record against the Vancouver.

The Canucks, who are clinging to a two-point lead over the Nashville Predators for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, have lost two straight.

Vancouver managed just one tally during a three-goal setback to the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday before enduring a 2-0 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday.
