COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) - The end of the regular season is closing in on the Chicago Blackhawks and Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Central Division teams meet for the seventh time on Wednesday and their chances for the postseason are slipping away with each passing game. The series, tied at three victories each, concludes Sunday in Chicago.

The Blackhawks have been alternating losses and wins in their last six games, including Saturday's 4-3 overtime victory over St. Louis.

The Blue Jackets lost their third straight game on Tuesday, falling 3-0 to Nashville. Columbus has scored a combined two goals in its last three games.

Left wing Rick Nash has four goals and three assists against Chicago. Goaltender Pascal Leclaire is 2-0-0 versus the Blackhawks with a 2.61 goals-against average.

Right wing Patrick Kane has four goals and three assists against the Blue Jackets this season.

Chicago, which is currently 11th in the West, hasn't been to the postseason since 2002. The Blue Jackets, 3-5-2 in their last 10 games, have fallen back to 13th place in the West.
