Final - OT
Capitals go for third straight win
Nov 15, 2006 - 4:22 PM Boston (5-7-2) at Washington (8-5-4) 7:00 pm ESTWASHINGTON (Ticker) -- If Washington goaltender Olaf Kolzig gets the start against the Boston Bruins on Wednesday, he might still be fatigued from Monday's game.
Kolzig was very busy in stopping 44-of-45 Florida shots in a 4-1 victory over the Panthers. Dainius Zubrus starred for the Capitals offensively with two goals and an assist.
Alexander Ovechkin added a goal and an assist for Washington, which won its second straight game.
Ovechkin has been hot lately, as he has tallied five times in his last six games for the Capitals, who play four of their next five at home.
After losing two straight, the Bruins responded with a 4-3 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.
Patrice Bergeron scored the game-winner for Boston at 13:42 of the third period while Petr Temkrat added a single tally and Glen Murray scored twice. Marc Savard has two assists, and has 12 points in his last six games.
The Bruins acquired left wing Stanislav Christov from the Anaheim Ducks on Monday in exchange for a third-round draft pick in the 2008 draft.
The two teams meet again Saturday in Boston.
