Lightning look to keep rolling against Rangers
Nov 19, 2006 - 3:23 PM Tampa Bay (10-8-1) at NY Rangers (10-9-1) 7:00 pm ESTNEW YORK (Ticker) - After a shaky start, the Tampa Bay Lightning have been playing solid hockey lately. They look to continue their winning ways when they visit the New York Rangers on Sunday.
The Lightning, who have won four of their last five games, are coming off a 3-2 shootout victory over the New York Islanders on Friday.
Nikita Alexeev and Brad Richards scored in the second period while Dmitry Afanasenkov scored the lone goal in the seventh round of the shootout.
The Rangers, who have lost three of four, were defeated by the Pittsburgh Penguins, 3-1, on Saturday.
Brendan Shanahan scored the only goal for the Rangers, his 15th of the season, at 10:31 of the third period.
Henrik Lundqvist made 22 saves for the Rangers, who went 0-for-6 on the power play.
