Nov 20, 2006 - 4:41 PM Tampa Bay (10-9-1) at Buffalo (16-3-1) 7:00 pm EST

BUFFALO, New York (Ticker) -- The Buffalo Sabres have to handle some business at home before they can get back to playing spoiler on the road.

Coming off their first road loss of the season, the Sabres host the Tampa Lightning in the opener of a three-game homestand Monday.

After a 4-1 setback to Ottawa on Saturday, Buffalo fell to 10-1-0 on the road. The Sabres will have to wait until Sunday against the Rangers to attempt to earn another victory away from home.

Maxim Afinogenov scored the lone goal and goaltender Ryan Miller made 37 saves for the Sabres, who went 0-for-5 on the power play and were outshot, 41-24.

The Lightning got off to a tough start on their three-game road trip with a 4-1 loss to the Rangers on Sunday. Eric Perrin netted his fourth goal of the season and netminder Johan Holmqvist stopped 30 shots for Tampa Bay.

During the 2005-06 campaign, the Sabres took all four meetings over the Lightning.
