Bruins look to get back on track against Penguins
Nov 22, 2006 - 2:46 PM Boston (8-8-2) at Pittsburgh (10-7-2) 7:30 pm ESTPITTSBURGH (Ticker) - The Boston Bruins had their four-game winning streak snapped in their last game, and look to rebound against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday.
The Bruins dropped a 3-2 decision to the Florida Panthers on Monday. Glen Murray scored both goals for Boston, was which was blanked in six power-play opportunities while surrendering two tallies with the extra man.
Tim Thomas made 25 saves for Boston, which plays three of its next four on the road.
Pittsburgh has been playing well lately, winning three of its last four games.
The Penguins have won their last two against Atlantic Division rivals, the latest a 5-3 triumph over the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday.
Ray Whitney led Pittsburgh with a goal and two assists while Sergei Gonchar, Dominic Moore and Sidney Crosby each added a goal and an assist.
Marc-Andre Fleury recorded 22 saves for the Penguins, who scored two power-play goals but surrendered three.
