Nov 22, 2006 - 3:04 PM Los Angeles (7-11-4) at San Jose (15-7-0) 10:30 pm EST

SAN JOSE, California (Ticker) - The San Jose Sharks likely will not be in a festive mood Wednesday when they host the Los Angeles Kings.

The Sharks suffered an embarrassing 5-0 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday in the first of eight meetings with their Pacific Division rivals this season.

The Ducks dominated the contest, outshooting the Sharks, 44-23, and holding them scoreless in three power-play opportunities. San Jose hurt itself by allowing two power-play tallies.

Los Angeles, which is 2-2-1 in its last five games, is coming off a 5-3 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday.

Alexander Frolov scored two goals to pace the Kings while Rob Blake, Craig Conroy and Scott Thornton scored the other Los Angeles goals.

Dan Cloutier recorded 36 stops for the Kings, who were sharp on the power play with three goals in eight chances.
