ETC

  • I love the Young Stars tournament, and I missed it dearly when it left us four years ago. You’ve got some top tier prospects in this one, some players who have already seen regular season action like Broberg and and you’ve got some invites, like Jan Spunar in net. Some of these guys will see camp invites if they impress, it’s always fun to see guys like Regina’s Cole Dubinsky get a crack.
  • Oilers Young Stars will play three games over the weekend - they’ll take on the Jets YoungStars on Friday at 5, they’ll take on the Flames Young Stars on Saturday at 8:30 PM, and they’ll wrap up the tournament by taking on the Canucks Young Stars on Monday at 3:30 PM.
  • Preseason is just around the corner. Camp opens for everyone next week, and the first preseason game is on Sunday the 25th against the Jets. Get ready.
