Crosby looks to build off four-point game vs. Bruins
Oct 20, 2008 - 1:16 PM Pittsburgh (3-2-1) at Boston (2-1-1) 7:00 pm. EDTBOSTON (Ticker) -- Sidney Crosby looks to build off his best game of the young season when the Pittsburgh Penguins visit the Boston Bruins on Monday.
The 2006-07 Hart Trophy winner failed to score in his first five games, but had a goal and three assists in a 4-1 victory over Toronto on Saturday. The 21-year-old recorded his 100th career goal and 200th career assist.
"They're nice," Crosby said when asked about the milestones. "It's not what you play for, but they're great accomplishments."
It was the second multi-point game of the season for Crosby and his first four-point effort since a 5-3 win over Ottawa last April.
"I don't expect four-point nights, but I definitely wanted to score," he said. "I felt like I was doing some good things, but the puck just wasn't going in."
Crosby should have more success against Boston, as he has three goals and seven assists in his last four games against the Bruins.
Boston, which went 2-1-1 against the Penguins last season, is coming off a 4-2 win over Ottawa on Saturday. The Bruins are seeking to win their third straight home opener.
