Islanders aim for fourth straight win

Nov 28, 2006 - 2:37 PM NY Islanders (12-7-3) at Pittsburgh (10-8-4) 7:00 pm EST

PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- The New York Islanders go for their fourth straight win when they visit the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday.

The Islanders chalked up their third straight win with a 4-1 victory over the Washington Capitals on Saturday.

Jason Blake scored twice to lead the Islanders while Richard Park and Trent Hunter had the other goals for New York. Rick DiPietro stopped 33 shots for the Islanders, who went 1-for-4 on the power play.

New York's Miroslav Satan needs one goal to reach 300 in his career and one point for 600.

The Penguins, who lost to the Islanders, 3-1, last Friday, try to snap a three-game losing skid.

Their latest loss was a 2-1 overtime defeat to the New York Rangers on Saturday. Evgeni Malkin scored Pittsburgh's lone goal on the power play in the first period.

Malkin's goal was his 12th of the season.

Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby, who is tied for fifth in the league with 30 points, may return after missing three games with a groin injury. The Penguins only scored five goals in those games. Crosby is eighth in the league with 30 points in 19 games.
