Maple Leafs seek revenge against Bruins
Nov 28, 2006 - 2:57 PM Boston (10-9-2) at Toronto (13-8-4) 7:30 pm ESTTORONTO (Ticker) -- The Toronto Maple Leafs look for revenge when they host the Boston Bruins on Tuesday.
After dismantling the Washington Capitals, 7-1, on Friday, the Leafs fell to the Bruins, 3-1, on Saturday.
Captain Mats Sundin returned for the Leafs and scored their lone goal in the loss to the Bruins. He had missed three weeks with an elbow injury.
Sundin spoiled Boston goaltender Tim Thomas' shutout bid when he tallied with 7:56 left in the third period.
Sundin, who has 505 career goals, needs two more to tie Jean Beliveau for 32nd-place on the all-time list.
Thomas looks for his fourth straight road victory against the Leafs, but must be wary of Toronto's Darcy Tucker, who has five goal and three assists in his last five games.
Petr Tenkrat, Marc Savard and Brad Boyes scored for the Bruins while Thomas recorded 28 saves in Saturday's win. Boston plays three of its next four on the road.
Former Bruin Andrew Raycroft made 22 saves for the Leafs, who have lost three of their last five. Boston has won six of its last eight games.
No one has shouted yet.
