Sharks start four-game trip against Blues
Nov 28, 2006 - 3:05 PM San Jose (17-7-0) at St Louis (7-12-3) 8:00 pm ESTST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- The San Jose Sharks have won five straight home games. Now they get to see what they can do on the road.
The Sharks begin a four-game road trip when they visit the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.
The Sharks have won four of their last five and come off a 2-0 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday.
Joe Thornton and Mike Grier scored the only goals the Sharks would need and Evgeni Nabokov made 24 saves to record the shutout. San Jose has won six of their last seven meetings with the Blues.
After the game against St. Louis, San Jose travels to Minnesota, Detroit and Dallas before returning home to host the Colorado Avalanche on December 7.
St. Louis fell to the Phoenix Coyotes, 2-1, on Saturday.
Dan Hinote scored the only goal for St. Louis, which outshot Phoenix, 26-24, but went scoreless in five power-play chances. Curtis Sanford made 22 saves for the Blues.
