Predators shoot for fifth win in last six games
Nov 29, 2006 - 2:51 PM Nashville (15-5-2) at Philadelphia (7-14-3) 7:00 pm ESTPHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Nashville Predators are playing good hockey and aim to keep it going when they take on the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday.
The Predators have won their last two games, outscoring their opponents, 12-2. Nashville pounded the Central Division leading Detroit Red Wings on Saturday, 6-2.
Marek Zidlicky led Nashville with a goal and two assists while Steve Sullivan had three assists.
The Flyers have won two straight and come off a 4-2 road victory against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday.
Simon Gagne led the Flyers with two goals and an assist while Sami Kapenen and Mike Knuble had the other goals. Antero Niittymaki recorded 29 saves for the Flyers, who went 1-for-6 on the power play.
Gagne netted a power-play goal and a shorthanded tally and has 13 goals this season.
