EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) - The Edmonton Oilers attempt to bounce back on their seven-game homestand when they face the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday.

The Oilers were 4-0 on their homestand and winners of five in a row prior to their 3-2 overtime setback to the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday.

Marty Reasoner and Ryan Smyth both scored a goal while goaltender Dwayne Roloson made 23 saves for Edmonton, which was outshot, 21-11, in the final two periods as they squandered an early two-goal lead.

The Avalanche had their two-game winning streak snapped with a 5-2 loss to the Calgary Flames on Tuesday in the opener of a three-game road trip.

Netminder Jose Theodore turned away 32 shots and rookie Paul Stastny and Wojtek Wolski both tallied for Colorado, which was outshot, 37-25.

Edmonton is ahead in the season series, 2-0, with both wins coming in Colorado.
