Blue Jackets go for another win vs. Avalanche

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have won their last two games without their leading scorer. With Rick Nash now on injured reserved, it appears they will be shorthanded for the foreseeable future.

The Blue Jackets search for their third straight victory when they host the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday.

Named to the Western Conference All-Star team last week, Nash is the Blue Jackets' leading scorer with 17 goals and 22 assists. But Columbus will have to find scoring elsewhere with the Ontario native recovering from an apparent knee injury.

Nikita Filatov picked up the slack on Saturday, netting a hat trick in a 4-2 win over Minnesota just three days after being recalled from Syracuse of the AHL.

The continued stellar play of Andrew Raycroft has earned him more time between the pipes for Colorado. The veteran netminder has won seven straight games, including all three games during the Avalanche's current three-game winning streak.

Raycroft, who joined Colorado in the offseason on a one-year contract after a disappointing campaign with Toronto, appears to have taken over the primary goaltending duties from Peter Budaj.

David Jones had his first multi-goal game of his career in a 5-3 triumph over Pittsburgh on Saturday while Wojtek Wolski, Cody McLeod and Ryan Smyth each added a goal and an assist for the Avalanche.
