Canucks visit Blues eyeing third straight win

ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- The Vancouver Canucks have seemingly put last month's woes behind them.

The Canucks will seek their third consecutive victory Tuesday when they open a three-game road trip against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.

After posting a 2-5-5 record in January, Vancouver has already matched that win total this month. The Canucks followed a 4-3 triumph over the Carolina Hurricanes last Tuesday with a 7-3 rout of the Chicago Blackhawks four days later.

Ryan Kesler scored two goals and set up another and defenseman Alexander Edler recorded a tally and three assists Saturday for Vancouver.

Mats Sundin tallied and registered two assists, Daniel Sedin netted a goal and set up another while Henrik Sedin and Steve Bernier also scored for the Canucks, who posted their second straight victory following a season-high eight-game losing streak.

Chris Mason continued his stellar play by making 23 saves and Brad Boyes scored a goal and set up another to highlight a second-period surge Saturday, leading the Blues to a 4-1 victory over the Colorado Avalanche.

Rookie T.J. Oshie and All-Star Keith Tkachuk also scored in the middle session while David Perron tallied in the third and added an assist for St. Louis, which improved to 6-1-3 in its last 10 contests.
