Lecavalier, Lightning seeking more success vs. Maple Leafs

TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- Captain Vincent Lecavalier always seems to enjoy playing against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Lecavalier and the Tampa Bay Lightning will look for another good performance when they host the Maple Leafs on Thursday.

In the last meeting between the clubs, Lecavalier netted a pair of goals - including the game-winner - in a 3-2 victory on October 28. The All-Star center has 11 tallies and 25 points in his last 16 contests against Toronto.

The 28-year-old Lecavalier leads the Lightning with 24 goals and ranks second on the club with 49 points, trailing linemate Martin St. Louis by one.

Gary Roberts scored 84 seconds into Tampa Bay's last game, but the Lightning failed to score again en route to a 3-1 setback to the Atlanta Thrashers.

The Maple Leafs squandered a three-goal lead in the third period, suffering a 5-4 overtime loss to the Florida Panthers on Tuesday.

Niklas Hagman netted a pair of goals for Toronto, which has lost three of its previous four games (1-1-2).
