Predators aim for three in a row vs. Senators

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- After two straight shootout wins, the Nashville Predators are getting used to winning under pressure.

The Predators will continue their drive toward the top half of the Western Conference when they host the Ottawa Senators on Monday.

Nashville has worked its way up the crowded pack in the West by going 7-3-0 since the All-Star break and is coming off a 3-2 shootout win over the Eastern Conference-leading Boston Bruins.

David Legwand was the star for the Predators, scoring both goals in regulation and beating Manny Fernandez in the fourth round of the shootout to clinch the win.

Legwand had an assist on the key goal of Wednesday's win over St. Louis, setting up captain Jason Arnott with three seconds left in regulation to force overtime. Steve Sullivan found the net for the first time this season in the shootout, scoring the clincher.

The Senators have won four in a row - their longest streak of the season.

Ottawa fell behind, 3-0, against Minnesota on Saturday before exploding for five unanswered goals to steal the win. Captain Daniel Alfredsson and All-Star Dany Heatley have combined for six goals in the past four games and rank first and second on the team, respectively, in points.
