Bruins eye fourth straight win over Maple Leafs

BOSTON (Ticker) - The Boston Bruins go for their fourth consecutive victory over the struggling Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday.

The Bruins upped their streak in the series to three following back-to-back wins over the Maple Leafs on November 25 and 28.

Boston posted its fourth win in five outings by edging Montreal, 6-5, on Monday.

Defenseman Brad Stuart, who tallied twice, scored the decisive goal with 1:48 left in the game. Marc Savard finished with three assists and Tim Thomas made 34 saves for the Bruins, who went 0-for-3 on the power play.

Toronto has dropped three more games since facing Boston.

The latest defeat was a 5-2 setback to the Atlanta Thrashers on Tuesday. Darcy Tucker netted a goal with the man advantage and Michael Peca tallied as well for the Maple Leafs, who were outscored, 5-0, in the closing session.

Andrew Raycroft stopped 32 shots for Toronto, which was outshot, 37-19.
