Bruins look to get back on track against Blue Jackets
Mar 10, 2009 - 1:45 PM Boston (43-15-9) at Columbus (33-27-6), 7:00 p.m. EDTCOLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- The Eastern Conference-leading Boston Bruins look to get back on track when they visit the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday.
Boston, which sits atop the East with 95 points, has dropped four of its last five and is coming off a deflating 4-3 setback to the New York Rangers on Sunday.
Since February 5, the Bruins have struggled to maintain their healthy lead in the conference, dropping 10 of 14 contests.
Columbus, meanwhile, is marginally holding onto playoff position in the crowded West. The Blue Jackets have 72 points, two more than the Nashville Predators, Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars - who are all scrambling to capture the eighth and final spot.
After losing two of three, Columbus used its most prolific offensive game to post an 8-2 triumph over the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday.
