Devils take on Flyers in search of fourth straight win

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- The New Jersey Devils go for their fourth straight win when they host the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday in a showdown between Atlantic Division rivals.

The Devils, who have only allowed six goals in their last three games, posted a 2-1 overtime triumph over the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday.

New Jersey trailed late in the third period when Zach Parisi forged a 1-1 tie at 14:12. Patrik Elias' power-play goal won the game in overtime. The Devils have won six straight road contests.

The Flyers are 3-1-1 in their last five games and look to rebound from a 4-3 shootout loss to the Devils on Saturday.

Todd Fedoruk, Randy Jones and Mike Knuble scored in regulation for Philadelphia, but Simon Gagne and Petr Nedved were denied in the shootout by New Jersey goaltender Martin Brodeur.

Antero Niittymaki made 29 saves for Philadelphia, which was outshot, 32-25, including 7-1 in the overtime session.
