Blue Jackets look to keep rolling

DALLAS (Ticker) -- It took time and a coaching change, but the Columbus Blue Jackets are finally playing some good hockey.

Winners of four straight, Columbus aims to keep the momentum going when it travels to Dallas for a meeting with the Stars on Tuesday.

The Blue Jackets, who have outscored their opponents 18-3 during their streak, pounded the Ottawa Senators, 6-2, on Sunday. Rick Nash and Dan Fritsche led Columbus with two goals while Manny Maholtra scored the other Columbus goal.

The Blue Jackets, who improved to 5-3-0 under Ken Hitchcock, scored five power-play goals in 11 attempts against the Senators.

The Stars have been playing decent in winning four of their last five games, although they struggled in defeating the lowly Phoenix Coyotes, 4-3, in overtime on Saturday.

Jere Lehtonen started the scoring midway through the first period and concluded it when he netted the game-winning goal with just five seconds left in overtime to give the Stars the victory.

Jusi Jokinen and Niklas Hagman scored the other Dallas goals while Marty Turco made 28 saves.
