Bodine repeats at Talladega

Oct 4, 2008 - 10:26 PM TALLADEGA, Alabama (Ticker) -- A familiar face found his way to Victory Lane at Talladega.

Todd Bodine took the lead on the final lap of Saturday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Mountain Dew 250 and held on to win at the 2.66-mile tri-oval for the second year in a row.

It was also Bodine's third straight series victory on superspeedways, sandwiching victories here around a win at Daytona earlier this season.

"I don't know what to think," Bodine said. "Three wins in a row on superspeedways speaks for itself."

Bodine was running second behind Kyle Busch when the white flag flew, but nudged the race leader aside and was pushed across the finish line by Ron Hornaday Jr. as a number of trucks back in the field wrecked.

"It ended up where Todd got in front of me and I pushed him to the win," Hornaday said. "We'll take second."

With his second, Hornaday took over the series lead by 39 points over Johnny Benson, who finished 11th.

Busch finished third, followed by Colin Braun and Mike Wallace.

Erik Darnell, who started from the pole, wound up 12th despite leading a race-high 48 of 94 laps.
