Busch wins Roadloans.com 200 from pole

Sep 20, 2008 - 10:04 PM DOVER, Delaware (Ticker) -- Kyle Busch won Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide Series Roadloans.com 200 in convincing fashion.

Busch started from the pole and led 157 of 207 laps on the 1-mile concrete oval at Dover International Speedway to claim his eighth win of the season in a Toyota and 19th career.

Needing to overcome a late caution, Busch pulled away from Mike Bliss' Chevrolet on the final restart of a green/white/checkered finish and crossed the start/finish line with a comfortable lead.

"It was a great effort by the whole team," said Busch, who is not running a full Nationwide schedule this season. "It wasn't easy but it was a pretty flawless day. We did make it look easy though."

The Chevrolets of Bliss, Brad Keselowski and Scott Wimmer were followed across the line by the Ford of Carl Edwards.

"Why the heck did Kyle have to pick this race to run? He picks and chooses his races and he picks this one," said Bliss, who is still looking for his first win of the season. "The 18 (Busch) was just fast but we were this close to winning. I know we're going to win this season - maybe two."

Series points leader Clint Bowyer finished 10th in Chevrolet and saw his lead atop the standings shrink to 186 points over Edwards.

Last year's race winner Denny Hamlin was sixth in a Toyota. Jason Leffler, Jamie McMurray, David Ragan and Bowyer rounded out the top 10.
