Latimore released from NRL Panthers deal
Nov 4, 2016 - 11:48 AM Penrith Panthers say they have released prop Jeremy Latimore from the remainder of his contract so he can pursue an opportunity with another NRL club. After playing 75 games for Penrith since joining them ahead of the 2013 season, the Panthers have begrudgingly let the 29-year-old pack his bags.
"It's too easy sometimes to say that Rugby League is a business and we just have to make decisions and move on," Panthers General Manager Phil Gould said.
"But some decisions really do suck. This one sucks.
"We are really disappointed to be losing Jeremy. He has been wonderful for our club both on and off the field. We can't thank him enough for the contribution he has made during his four seasons at the Panthers.
"We wish Jeremy well and will follow the remainder of his career with great interest. He will always be welcome at our club."
