Pearce wants out of Roosters: report
Oct 25, 2017 - 9:12 AM Mitchell Pearce is reportedly looking at his options to leave NRL club Sydney Roosters.News Corp Australia reported that the NSW halfback wasn't happy that his side was closing in on a deal to secure the services of Cooper Cronk.
While signed on for two more years at the Roosters, questions were soon raised about Pearce's immediate future after his side was linked to the Melbourne star.
A formal announcement of a two-year Roosters deal for the Australian halfback Cronk is expected next week.
Various reports had emerged including a potential move for Pearce to play hooker at the Roosters but with the established club co-captain Jake Friend in that role it seems unlikely.
Manly is looming as a possible home for Pearce, NRL.com reporting that the Sea Eagles have already had discussions with the 28 year-old.
Just last weekend Roosters boss Nick Politis said he wanted to keep Pearce until he was 35.
Pearce has yet to comment publicly on the issue.
