Castrogiovanni to miss Ireland clash
Mar 2, 2016 - 3:13 PM Italy prop Martin Castrogiovanni will miss the visit to Ireland in Six Nations rugby next week after being suspended for two weeks for stamping. At a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday, Castrogiovanni admitted and regretted stamping on Duncan Taylor during Italy's 36-20 loss to Scotland in Rome last weekend.
A Six Nations disciplinary committee decided the 118-cap tighthead should have received a red card, but his foul was at the lower end of World Rugby sanctions, and suspended him to March 13, a day after the match in Dublin.
