All Black Ioane suffers finger injury
Oct 22, 2017 - 5:37 PM Rieko Ioane will miss at least the first match on the All Blacks' end of year tour after suffering a dislocated finger. The brilliant winger was diagnosed after New Zealand's 23-18 loss to Australia in Brisbane on Saturday, a match in which he scored his ninth try in 10 Tests.
All Blacks coach Steve Hansen confirmed the 20-year-old will be sidelined for two weeks, ruling him out of the opening match against the Barbarians at Twickenham on November 4.
The outside backs have been a challenging area this year for Hansen, who is without veteran Ben Smith (sabbatical) and injured trio Israel Dagg, Nehe Milner-Skudder and Jordie Barrett.
On Monday morning, Hansen unveils a 37-man squad to tour the United Kingdom and France.
