De Rosario's 2 goals lead Toronto FC

May 30, 2010 - 4:25 AM SANTA CLARA, Calif.(AP) -- Dwayne De Rosario scored two second-half goals to help Toronto FC stretch its unbeaten streak to four games with a 3-1 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night.

De Rosario scored for Toronto (5-4-1) in the 66th minute, then sealed the victory with a shot into an empty net in the final minute. De Rosario has eight goals this season, second in Major League Soccer behind Edson Buddle of Los Angeles.

Toronto's Chad Barrett began the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 31st minute, ending San Jose goalie Joe Cannon's streak of 393 minutes without allowing a goal. It was the first goal allowed by Cannon since April 24.

The Earthquakes climbed within 2-1 in the 76th minute, when defender Ramiro Corrales scored his first goal of the season. But San Jose (5-3-1) could not score again despite holding a 16-9 advantage in shots and a 7-3 edge in shots on goal.

Toronto goalie Stefan Frei had six saves, including several stops from point-blank range.
