Revs storm back for victory at DCU

Jul 28, 2013 - 1:36 AM Washington, D.C. (Sports Network) - The New England Revolution overturned a one-goal deficit on Saturday to claim a 2-1 victory at D.C. United and remain in the playoff hunt.

D.C. took the lead in the eighth minute when Luis Silva collected a pass from Joe Thorrington on the turn and fired a rocket into the bottom corner from 25 yards out.

The home side held the lead until the second half when Dimitry Imbongo leveled the score by turning in Chris Tierney's cross in the 54th minute.

New England's comeback was completed nine minutes later when Saer Sene's shot came back into play off the crossbar and fell kindly to Diego Fagundez, who polished off the move with a simple header into the back of the net.

The Revs (8-7-6) have won two successive league matches to improve to 30 points on the season.

United (2-15-4) drops its fourth result in its last five outings as it remains at the foot of the MLS table on 10 points.
