Five North Korean players fail doping tests
Jul 16, 2011 - 4:42 PM Frankfurt, Germany (Sports Network) - Five North Korea players at the Women's World Cup have tested positive for banned substances.Jong Sun Song and Sim Pok Jong were provisionally suspended during the group stage for failing tests, and three more players - whose names were not known - later failed tests after North Korea was eliminated.
"FIFA will not disclose the names of the three players whose test results have produced adverse analytical findings, in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code," FIFA said in a release.
No one has shouted yet.
