Chivas earns draw in Dallas with late rally

Oct 29, 2012 - 1:11 AM Frisco, TX (Sports Network) - Chivas USA closed out its season in exciting fashion on Sunday as goals from Laurent Courtois and Juan Agudelo in the final minutes helped the team to a 2-2 draw at FC Dallas.

Dallas appeared to be well on its way to a season-ending victory with second- half tallies from Jackson and Fabian Castillo. However, Courtois pulled a goal back for the Goats in the 90th minute before Agudelo scored just before the final whistle to give Chivas a point.

Agudelo squandered the two best chances in the first half and saw Dallas go in front in the 73rd minute as Jackson scored with his thigh after a long ball from David Ferreira.

Dallas went 2-0 up 10 minutes from time with Ferreira once again playing provider with a through ball to Castillo.

The goal from Courtois in the 90th minute seemed to be little more than a consolation strike, but it proved to be more when Agudelo scored at the death.

Courtois had a hand in the equalizer as well when he got into the area on the left and slid the ball to the front of the net where Agudelo redirected it past goalkeeper Kevin Hartman.

Despite the late rally, Chivas ends the season on a 14-game winless streak.
