Donovan scores two goals in Galaxy's season finale
Oct 15, 2006 - 5:14 AM CARSON, California (Ticker) -- Landon Donovan scored twice and added an assist as the Los Angeles Galaxy posted a 5-2 victory over FC Dallas in the season finale for both teams.Donovan's tally during the 25th minute sparked a run of five straight goals for the defending champion Galaxy (11-15-6), who will miss the postseason for the first time in their 11-year history.
Goaltender Kevin Hartman made five saves for Los Angeles.
Abe Thompson scored and netminder Shaka Hislop turned away three shots for FC Dallas (16-12-4), which will visit Colorado in the Western Conference semifinals.
