Rapids, Sounders share the spoils at CenturyLink

Jul 20, 2013 - 10:07 PM Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Drew Moor and DeAndre Yedlin traded second- half goals five minutes apart as the Colorado Rapids extended their unbeaten streak to five games on Saturday at CenturyLink Field with a 1-1 draw against Seattle Sounders FC.

Moor opened the scoring on the hour mark for the Rapids, but the goal was canceled out in the 65th when Yedlin scored on his own rebound to help Seattle snap a run of three defeats in four games.

Rapids goalkeeper Clinton Irwin had to be alert early to keep out a close- range header from Seattle's Lamar Neagle, while he saw a shot from Obafemi Martins sail narrowly past the post five minutes before halftime.

Seattle had the better chances in the first half but the hosts found themselves behind in the 60th minute when Nick LaBrocca's corner kick sailed over the head of Sounders goalkeeper Andrew Weber and was nodded over the goal line from a yard out by Moor.

The Sounders went on the attack from there, and after Neagle saw his shot hit the post, Yedlin pounced on the rebound and saw his effort saved on the line by Irwin, who parried the ball straight back to Yedlin for a rebound goal.

Seattle had the best chance to break the deadlock in the final 10 minutes, but Zach Scott's header from a tight angle was nodded off the line by Moor to preserve a point for his team.
