Segares, Jaqua helps Chicago to win over D.C. United
Oct 16, 2006 - 1:54 AM WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Gonzalo Segares, Andy Herron and Nate Jaqua scored goals as the Chicago Fire posted a 3-2 victory over D.C. United in the season finale for both teams.Goaltender Matt Pickens made eight saves for the third-seeded Fire (13-11-8), who will open the Eastern Conference playoffs against New England on Sunday.
Christian Gomez netted both goals for first-place United (15-7-10), which will face New York in the semifinals Saturday.
Nick Rimando stopped four shots for Chicago, which finished third in the East.
