Ribeiro leaves it late as Orlando City draws Crew SC

May 31, 2015 - 1:38 AM Orlando, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Pedro Ribeiro's last-gasp strike secured a point for Orlando City SC on Saturday as the expansion club earned a 2-2 draw against Columbus Crew SC at the Citrus Bowl.

Kaka converted a penalty kick for the other Orlando goal, as the Lions stretched their unbeaten streak to a modest three matches.

Columbus, meanwhile, received goals from Tony Tchani and Kei Kamara, and looked in position to win despite a first-half red card to defender Michael Parkhurst, but Ribeiro's strike denied the visitors all three points.

Columbus opened the scoring after just six minutes when Tchani, the former New York Red Bull, got on the end of an excellent cross from Hector Jimenez and nodded it home.

Columbus then went down to 10 men when Parkhurst was shown a straight red card for a handball in the penalty area.

Kaka stepped up and made no mistake, slotting home his sixth goal of the season.

Crew SC regained the lead just past the hour mark as Kamara got on the end of a brilliant ball from Waylon Frances and powered home a header for his league- leading 10th goal of the season.

It looked like Columbus would take all three points, but Ribeiro came to the rescue in the 89th minute when he blasted a rope of a strike into the corner of the net from 25 yards out.

The fourth official's board showed three minutes of added time, but the clubs were content to share the spoils.
