Schweinsteiger in Man Utd EPL season squad
Sep 2, 2016 - 11:30 AM Bastian Schweinsteiger has been included in Manchester United's English Premier League squad for the season. The midfielder's future with the club has been in question after falling out of favour with new manager Jose Mourinho.
EPL clubs had to submit their 25-man squads, excluding under-21 players, on Thursday and the German World Cup winner was among those listed for United on the league's website.
Schweinsteiger joined United from Bayern Munich on a three-year contract in July 2015 and played 31 games last season before suffering a knee injury.
He's yet to see any action this season after being dropped by Mourinho and training with the club's reserves.
The 32-year-old said last week that United would be his final European club and he would be "ready if the team needs me".
Schweinsteiger retired from international football after making his 121st appearance for Germany in a 2-0 friendly win on Wednesday over Finland.
