Mariners' Adelson suffers 2nd ACL injury
Sep 20, 2016 - 6:37 AM Central Coast A-League winger Jake Adelson's terrible run of luck has continued with news the 20-year-old has ruptured his ACL for the second time in 12 months.Adelson only made his comeback earlier this month from his first knee injury suffered late last year.
Less than two weeks later, the former Western Sydney youth player was carried off on a stretcher during Saturday's pre-season friendly loss to Wellington.
Scans on Monday confirmed Adelson would need a knee reconstruction, all but certainly ruling him out for the 2016-17 season.
